Family Selected: Ragged-tooth Sharks

Five gill slits on either side of their bodies with no nictitating membranes on their eyes. These sharks have a pointy snout with rows of visibly spiked teeth. Although fearsome to look at, these sharks are generally passive and slow moving. Capable of gulping air and storing it in their stomachs to maintain neutral buoyancy.
